Government to make UK hub for driverless cars
Thu, 05 Dec 2013The government has today announced plans to make the UK a world centre for the development of driverless cars – with a £10 million cash incentive to any town or city that builds a test site for autonomous vehicles. The news comes as part of chancellor George Osborne’s 2013 Autumn Statement – alongside plans to scrap the car road tax disc and freeze fuel duty. Fallen Michigan police officers honored at Woodward Dream Cruise
Fri, 14 Aug 2009Joe Roeder can't help but feel pride when he talks about the memorial he has created for fallen Michigan police officers. Since 2002, he has outfitted a Jaguar with the help of donors to ride in Detroit's Woodward Dream Cruise. This year, Roeder, an auxiliary sergeant with the Hazel Park Police Department in Michigan, will cruise in a 2009 Jaguar XF donated by Jaguar of Troy.
