Welcome to King Rat Chop Shop!

You are looking at a Hawk water/coolant temperature gauge.  The housing and face are black, white lettering and numbering.  No cracks and no significant fading on the unit.  Some scratches and minor pitting on the bezel from normal use.  The gauge reads 100-250 degrees F.  I don't see anything that leads me to believe the unit does not work, but it is untested.  For that reason, I am selling the unit as "for parts".  We guarantee satisfaction, so if you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason just initiate a return within 14 days.

Sold as is for parts, no warranty.  GOOD LUCK!

Barrett-Jackson's Las Vegas auction draws drivers

Wed, 21 Sep 2011

Though you'll see the usual assortment of restored muscle cars and one-of-a-kind automotive delights at the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction, it's the buyers who make this event a little different, organizers say. "Most of the vehicles we sell in Vegas go to first-time buyers--and they want drivers," said Craig Jackson, CEO of the auction company. "They're end users and drivers, rather than speculators." Those buyers will have a wide variety to choose from at the fourth-annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction, which kicks off on Sept.

General Motors partners with battery supplier LG on electric vehicles

Thu, 25 Aug 2011

General Motors said Thursday that it is partnering with its battery cell supplier, LG Group, to develop electric vehicles. The agreement, signed Wednesday by GM CEO Dan Akerson and LG President Juno Cho, will “help GM expand the number and types of electric vehicles it makes and sells,” the automaker said in a statement. It's the second example this week of automakers looking for partners to help in developing more fuel-efficient cars, as U.S.

Rolls Royce sponsors Bloodhound 1000mph World Speed Record attempt

Tue, 14 May 2013

The last time we had news about a sponsor for the Bloodhound 1000mph World Record attempt aproject, it was all about a carbon off-set company sponsoring the project with off-set credits so the speed record project could claim to be carbon neutral. This time, it’s something of proper value to the project. Rolls Royce – the plane people, not the car people – are supplying their EJ200 jet engine from the Eurofighter Typhoon – and technical support – which will be bolted in Bloodhound to get it up to 350mph before a rocket engine takes over and thrusts it on past 1000mph.
