Wed, 13 Jun 2012The new Ferrari 458 Spider is to make its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, together with the new Ferrari California. The Ferrari 458 Spider finally bowed in at Frankfurt 2011 – more than two years on from the debut of the 458 Italia – and is going to make its UK debut at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed on 29th June. About time too.

We know that Top Gear won’t be back on our screens – at least not with a new series – until 2013, because Jeremy Clarkson told us. But get up close and you’ll find it’s one hell of a smart hatchet job. We admire the packaging. If you’ve ever had a soft-top you’ll know that most have very wide fabric C-pillars that impede vision and coupled with integrated rear glass windows can be tricky to fold away.
