This manual covers: 86-95 Buick Skylark, 85-87 Buick Somerset, 92-95 Oldsmobile Achieva, 85-91 Oldsmobile Calais and 85-95 Pontian Grand Am vehicles. The manual has over 300 pages that cover tune ups and maintenance, engines, general engine overhaul procedures, cooling, heating and air conditioning systems, fuel and exhaust systems, engine electrical systems, emissions and engine control systems, manual transaxle, automatic transaxle, clutch and drive axles, brakes, suspension and steering systems, body, chassis electrical system and wiring diagrams. Berg examines the BMW 325is, with its new, free-revving, 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder, making BMW’s small sedan an even more desirable ride. Compared with the more expensive Porsche 944 and Acura Legend, the BMW gets Berg’s nod of approval.

First new Saab rolls off the production line

A NEW SAAB car has rolled off the Swedish production line for the first time in two and a half years. National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the Hong Kong-based company that bought Saab out of bankruptcy in September last year, presented its new 9-3 Aero at the factory in Trollhattan. The company, also called NEVS, aims to make electric cars under the Saab brand, but said it will also provide petrol cars until "electric cars fully meet customer demands." The first 200 cars will be delivered in spring costing 279,000 kronor (£26,000) each.

Who's Where: Karim Habib joins Mercedes-Benz

Karim Habib, former Team Leader for Advanced Design at BMW, joined Mercedes-Benz earlier this month, becoming Head of Advanced Design at the German automaker's Stuttgart studio. Habib will work under newly appointed Mercedes-Benz Head of Design, Gorden Wagener. Habib, who celebrates his 38th birthday today, was born in Beirut, Lebanon and attended elementary school in Iran, France and Greece before moving to Montreal, Canada in 1982.
