Audi RS3 (2012) gets extended production run

Audi's RS3 hot hatch is back from the dead. The 335bhp quattro Sportback's initial production run was limited to 500 cars for right-hand drive, but pent up demand has convinced Audi to build another 250.    You'll have to be quick though: the first batch sold out in just days after the car's Geneva motor show reveal, without ever officially going on sale. Call for ban on on vehicle-side advertising

ALL ADVERTISING and promotional banners on commercial vehicles should be banned as they are distracting to other drivers and tempt them to use mobile phones while driving. This is the call from Flexed, a car leasing company, which has carried out a survey that shows a quarter (23%) of drivers admit to trying to type a website address into smartphone after seeing an advert on a lorry. A further 10% of drivers admitted they had tried to take a camera phone photo of an advertisement on a commercial vehicle to use later.

Peugeot 90X breaks cover

Once a well kept secret in Peugeots Sport factory in Vélizy, near Paris, Peugeots new 2011, codenamed 90X, has been out and about for its first test at the Monza track. While the 90X complies with the new ACO's 2011 regulations, it still requires some considerable amount of work to be done to be ready for 2011. A curvier windscreen and slight change to the nose but the biggest changes are the new fin leading from the cockpit to the rear spoiler, aimed to offer more down force and avoid flipping in the case of a high speed crash.
