Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG coupe revealed
Mon, 21 Mar 2011Mercedes-Benz has followed up the debut of the C-class coupe at the Geneva motor show with the unveiling of this new range-topping version, the C63 AMG coupe. Set to land in North American showrooms in September following a planned debut at next month's New York auto show, the new BMW M3-challenger receives the same updated mechanical package as the recently facelifted C63 AMG sedan. It will be sold from the outset as a 2012-model-year car.
Redesigned Ford Mustang scores high mpg for V8
Tue, 16 Mar 2010Completing the fuel-economy story for the redesigned 2011 Mustang, Ford said on Tuesday that the V8-powered pony car is rated at 26 mpg on the highway and 17 mpg in city driving. That compares with a 16 mpg/24 mpg city/highway rating for the 2010 Mustang. The highway rating was achieved with the six-speed manual transmission.
Video: Jaguar XF clay model gets axed
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jaguar recently gave a trio of clay modelers the task of deconstructing the original model of their carefully and lovingly sculpted XF sedan by handing them axes and sledgehammers in front of a camera crew. The modelers – dressed in black t-shirts and jeans – are shown taking apart the model piece by piece, perhaps taking out their frustration with designers who feel the need to get a little too hands-on with their artisan handiwork. Perhaps some other car manufacturers could using this as inspiration to destroy some of their cars, maybe – naming no names – before reaching production.
