Up for auction with NO RESERVE is a headlight from a 2007 Harley-Davidson XL883L Sportster.  This light is in good working order and comes with a working PIAA Super Plasma GTX bulb.  This PIAA bulb retails for $50 and has only been used for about 6 months.  I believe its the brightest bulb that PIAA makes for Harley-Davidson, it has an output of 135 and 125 watts.  The lens on this headlight is the new 2005 and later design and is in used condition.  This lens came off a Sportster that gets ridden everyday so the lens isn't in perfect condition.  This light was removed in favor of a new LED unit from Harley-Davidson.  This lens should fit most 5 3/4" headlight housings but check with your local shop for fitment.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Thank you for looking and good luck bidding.  No International shipping.

BMW offers new M Performance accessories for M5 and M6

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

Tuners Alpina and AC Schnitzer aren't the only ones offering just about everything in carbon fiber for BMWs these days, and BMW has introduced performance accessories for their M5 and M6 cars, including the M6 Gran Coupe, Convertible, and Coupe. On the performance front, car owners will be able to purchase and retrofit an exhaust system developed by BMW's M division and engineering company Akrapovič -- one made entirely of titanium. This new exhaust system will be available for the M5, and all versions of the M6 and will result in a weight savings of approximately 22 pounds.

Groupon vouchers for cars? No

Mon, 18 Jul 2011

The Groupon juggernaut rolled into auto retailing last week, and dealers around the nation watched intently to see whether the online coupon phenomenon could drive herds of shoppers into showrooms. So far, no. Only four consumers agreed to pay $200 for a $500 discount voucher on a new-vehicle purchase at LaFontaine Buick-GMC-Cadillac in Highland, Mich.

Porsche museum holds treasure trove of history

Ferdinand and Ferry Porsche shared one characteristic with other automotive icons such as Enzo Ferrari and E. L. Cord: a complete concentration on building the future and little interest in the past.
