In the past 40+ years Wayne has built and drove Drag cars, hotrods, streetrods, classics, muscle cars, etc. Marlene has been a car nut since she bought her first car, it was a 1967 Camaro Convertible. Purdee Industries was established in 2003 when Wayne and Marlene purchased the Header Buddy patent from the owner. Wayne saw the Header Buddy and like the idea so much that he approached the inventor of the patent to see if it was for sale, they made a deal and Purdee Industries was started. Porsche 911 GT3 new engine production starts April 22nd 2014
Sun, 13 Apr 2014The new engines for the Porsche 911 GT3 (pictured) start production this month The recall for the Porsche 911 GT3 after a couple of fires forced Porsche to evaluate the cause – and stop further production – now looks to have not only been resolved, but a fix is soon to be available. But Porsche is taking no chances with any sort of sticking plaster fix and is instead building new engines for the 911 GT3, with optimized piston rod screw connection – the cause of the problem – to make sure nothing goes wrong again. Porsche are planning to start production of the revised engine on 22nd April and will be despatching engines out to dealers shortly thereafter for them to fit to the affected cars.

Ford design chief J Mays retires, replaced by Moray Callum
Tue, 05 Nov 2013J Mays, Ford Motor Co.'s global design chief and one of the last senior executives remaining from the Jacques Nasser era, is retiring from the company along with two other veteran senior executives. Moray Callum, 58, design director for Ford in North America, will replace Mays, 59, the automaker said in a statement today. Also retiring after long Ford careers are Jim Tetreault, 57, vice president of North American manufacturing, and Martin Mulloy, vice president of labor relations.
