Russo and Steele offers one-of-a-kind 2013 SRT Viper for charity
Wed, 18 Dec 2013Russo and Steele will feature a 2013 SRT Viper GTS at its January auction in Scottsdale, Ariz., with proceeds going to the Sons of Italy foundation (SIF). The auction house says the car was built specifically for the foundation. It will join some 700 sports and muscle cars at the auction, which spans Jan.

All current Morris Garages cars – the MG6, 3 and 5 (in chronological order) as well as the CS concept shown at the Shanghai motor show in April – are products of SAIC's European Design Centre in Longbridge, near Birmingham in the English midlands, albeit finalized in Shanghai. The studio was opened in 2010 after a £5million investment in SAIC's UK Technical Centre but such are the ambitions of the company that it has already received a further £1.5million investment to almost double its size.

The two-day event focused on digital prototyping and included a variety of presentations - from advanced 3D visualization to engineering simulation. The audience of designers, engineers, and visualization experts listened to advancements that will help smooth the data flow from initial 2D sketches to engineered and ready-to-tool 3D CAD data.
