What a great idea from the team at Make It Clear Headlight Restorations.

They are the experts in restoring discoloured and scratched headlights to a crystal clear new finish.

Damaged headlights not only look ugly they are a roadworthy and serious safety issue.

Good clear headlights provide:

IMPROVED VISIBILITY = SAFER DRIVING
IMPROVED CONDITION = INCREASES A CARS VALUE
RESTORES CONDITION = SAVE $$$ ON REPLACEMENT

Additionally, Make It Clear is a CARBON NEUTRAL SOLUTION. Restoring headlights reduces the carbon emissions created in manufacturing new headlights.

Once Make It Clear restores headlights the car will LOOK GREAT and its really EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY.

Why not surprise someone you care about with a Gift Voucher...something that says I care about you and your safety, or just get done for your car!

Make it Clear Headlight Restorations repairs headlights at a fraction of the cost & time of replacing them with new ones.

Polycarbonate and acrylic headlights are damaged by sunlight, chemicals, scratches, & become discoloured & oxidise. The lens damage distorts the headlight beam reducing effective range and visibility. It makes driving dangerous and will fail registration safety inspection, and an infringement can be issued on the spot.

Damaged lenses also spoil the look of a car, so once restored they will increase the appeal and value of the car. Their specialised restoration process returns headlights back to a near new transparent finish.

They also offer an additional services including sealing the headlight lenses with a hardened surface protectant that is cured with UVA light. It is the same product used in the original manufacturing process.

Make it Clear Headlight Restorations are specialists that take no short cuts to ensure the job lasts!

They take pride in their work and guarantee a quality result.

NOT ALL PRODUCTS ARE CREATED EQUAL

It's no surprise that not all headlight restorations processes and products are created equal!

The team at Make It Clear investigated and experimented with a range of available techniques and products in the market and determined the only solutions that provide excellent results and a good degree of life are those which closely replicate the manufacturer's headlight build processes. This didn't surprise us either!

Their multi-step processes, and latest products take them more time to complete and cost us a bit more in product...but they want the job to last, as they are sure you do!

They also provide services that include a final surface protectant that is applied and cured by a light curing process, protecting the lens against UV, and providing a resistant surface to chemicals, wear, etc. This specialised UV-curable urethane acrylate coating is what they use in the original manufacturing process.

Minicars perform poorly in crash tests, study says

Tue, 14 Apr 2009

Minicars made by Toyota, Honda and Daimler AG did poorly on frontal crash tests with mid-sized automobiles, prompting an influential safety organization to suggest consumers consider buying larger cars that have comparable fuel economy. The Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit and Smart ForTwo all collapsed upon impact into the space around the driver dummy, according to the study released today by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Drivers in all three vehicles faced high risk of head and leg injuries after test collisions at 40 miles an hour, even after airbags inflated, said the non-profit group funded by auto insurers.

Caterham creates next car online

Wed, 05 Nov 2008

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 05 November 2008 10:08 Caterham has turned to cyberspace to design its next model – the low-volume carmaker is calling on fans around the world to log onto a bespoke website to submit their ideas and designs for every aspect of the new Caterham, before ultimately voting on what makes it to the final vehicle. The website – www.splitwheel.com - will act as a forum, hosting blogs, articles and what Caterham calls ‘a Wikipedia-style user-edited knowledge base’ to turn user input into a workable vehicle design. A comprehensive voting system that covers all aspects of the car will then be initiated, and once the final specification is agreed a prototype will be produced with initial production slated for 2011.
