I purchased these Hedman Hedders (# 69640) from Summit Racing a while back for a project. I have since been unable to complete the project and it's too late to return these.

The flanges on the end of the headers (where they are bolted to the rest of the exhaust) are not welded in place- they are loose. As a result, during shipping they vibrated back and forth and wore off the paint. Furthermore, Summit Racing's response was: "The paint used on these headers is for rust prevention during shipping only--it will burn off the header shortly after installation." So the headers were going to need to be properly re-painted no matter what.

Anyways, as a result of the paint wear, there is light surface rust on the headers. This will be easy to remove with some steel wool or sand paper, and it would be necessary to sand them before repainting anyways.

The headers have never been installed, and include all original hardware that came with them. They've just been sitting in my basement waiting for a home. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Jaguar: Four-wheel drive a priority. Hybrid Jaguars not.

Sun, 20 Nov 2011

Our long term Jaguar XJ would have been better in the snow with 4WD - but it's coming We’ve been talking about a four-wheel drive platform for Jaguars for a long time now. As far back as 2009, Jaguar privately confessed that the lack of an XF Estate was down to the lack of a 4WD platform to make the XF Estate a proper competitor in the luxury load-lugging market. And although we thought Jaguar could still make a success of the XF Estate without a 4WD option, we understood their perspective; Jaguar didn’t want to be the poor relation in the luxury estate market.

KTM X-Bow – the heavyweight dealer arrives

Thu, 11 Jun 2009

Dick Lovett has been appointed as a dealer for the KTM X-Bow And the profile of the X-Bow keeps growing with the effusive comments from those who’ve driven it and the decent marketing the car is enjoying through sensible stuff like the KTM X-Bow Drive Orange days at Brands Hatch and Silverstone. But that 1,000 car a year production may have to be revised again after it has been announced that Dick Lovett – a high-end supercar dealer – has just been appointed KTM X-Bow dealer for South Wales and South West England. We who read (and write) about cars every day tend to assume that anyone looking for a supercar or high-end sports car is completely au fait with what the market has to offer.

Porsche exhibit coming to NC

“If you didn't go to Rennsport, you have to go to this,” said curator (and Autoweek contributor) Ken Gross. “Even if you did go to Rennsport you have to go to this.” “This” is a great collection of fantastic Porsches, brought together at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh Oct. 13, 2013 through January 20, 2014.
