The ultimate man cave item.  A tail rotor blade from a Helicopter.

The serial number is K614022-3T41.2A.  That number leads to a Kaman Aerospace part, it is my belief that this came from a Navy Seasprite Helicopter.  That is my best guess, this was a garage sale find and I know next to nothing about helicopter parts.

This is stenciled "Master Blade, Not To Be Used For Flight"

Measures 43" long and 9 1/2" wide.  The base piece that attaches to the rotor assembly has been filled with cement.  I chiseled out most of it.  The rest can be easily chiseled out.  I am assuming it was filled with cement to render it not usable since it is a master blade and not to be used for flight.

Pretty cool item, a great and unusual decoration piece.

I also have a second blade up for auction which is different from this one, it is pictured in the last photo.

Auction starts at .99 cents
Runs 5 Days
Shipping is FedEx $25, if it's less I'll refund the difference, if it's more I'll eat it.

Will ship international at cost which won't be cheap.

Kia Pop concept (2010) first official pictures

Wed, 18 Aug 2010

These are the first pictures of Kia's new 2010 electric concept car, the Pop, which is due to make its debut at the Paris motor show on 30 September. Details on the new Kia Pop are sketchy, but at 3m long and with a triple-seat arrangement, it could be that Kia has its sights set on creating a rival to the Toyota iQ. In fact, we can see from the bird's-eye shot that the seating plan mimics that of Toyota's baby with two positions in a front bench and a single rear seat behind the front passenger.

China’s Geely to bring Emgrand range to UK in 2013

Sat, 20 Aug 2011

Geely are planning to bring their Emgrand range to the UK We didn’t think Geely would venture to the West with any of their own brand cars, expecially as Geely is doing very well with its Swedish purchase – Volvo. But it seems that Geely is planning on bringing their cars – certainly the ‘Premium’ Emgrand range – to the UK by 2013. Regular readers may remember the Rolls Royce Phantom ‘Homage’ built by Geely and, more recently and more convincingly, their take on the MINI and the London Taxi.

New Jaguar XJ – Detail Review

Sat, 11 Jul 2009

The new Jaguar XJ - we look in detail at what's on offer The Launch Despite our moans about some of the teases that went on in the run-up to the launch of the XJ, we can’t dispute that they worked for Jaguar. The interest was pretty much unprecedented, and one or two big car web sites crashed during the day of the launch because of huge numbers of visitors looking for information on the new XJ. We didn’t crash (thankfully) but our traffic doubled on the day, and thousands of you watched the launch live on Cars UK.
