Mercedes-Benz has released a promo video for the SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary model giving grown men permission to cry. The 2012 Mercedes SL does look to offer far more for the driver than any SL that’s gone before, and the range-topping SL 65 promises to be a proper supercar. Mercedes are kicking off the SL65 with the Mercedes SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition, built to celebrate 45 years of AMG, which offers extra goodies over and above the already well specced SL 65.

The production version of the Lincoln MKC Compact SUV (pictured) has been revealed When Ford divested itself of its premier marques – Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover – it left it with little wriggle room to compete in anything but the mainstream car market. Ford in Europe is trying to address that by launching ‘Vignale’ badged cars which promise to offer more ‘Premium quality’ than its mainstream models, and Ford in the US is doing the same thing by trying to reinvent the Lincoln badge as the answer to German premium models. New Audi Quattro supercar: could this be it?

Audi has released surprise pictures of one of the concept cars it will be bringing to the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, on its international media site. The new concept currently comes with no other information – not even a name. However, given the way it looks so similar to the RS5-based Quattro concept from 2010 and the presence of the Quattro text on so many of these illustrations, it seems fairly clear what this new supercar will be called.
