A vintage Japanese made WORLD FAMOUS brand motorcycle or scooter helmet in bright gold colored metal flake paint so typical of the 1960`s and 1970`s period.  The helmet looks very good and really sparkles in the light.  The inside thin foam rubber padding under the edge flaps has deteriorated and is basically gone from age except for a powdery residue.  The inner protective shell is not cracked as far as I can examine.

The ear flaps, chin strap and double ring buckles are fine.  The whole inside of the helmet could use further cleaning.  Not certain a helmet of this age is safe for use just because of the age of the materials.

The inside labels show in the photos and are legible.  The yellow tinted face shield is in poor unusable condition.  It will be shipped with the helmet, but is cracked and so brittle it might crack further in the mail.

The label shows this as a Large size helmet.  The widest measurement is 8 3/4 in. and measures 9 in. at the tallest point.  The back label has several losses as shown, but is still legible.

The shipping shown is for any of the continental 48 US states and includes insurance and tracking.  Any other point must ship by insured priority international postage.  Payment thru paypal and ships only to the name and address provided by paypal.

McLaren 12C Spider: Lots more new photos arrive

Sat, 13 Oct 2012

The McLaren 12C Spider was revealed in July, but with just a handful of photos available. But now McLaren has rectified their photo count. Even when the 12C Spider took its public bow at Pebble Beach in August there wasn’t anything new from McLaren’s snappers, and at the Paris Motor show all eyes were on the McLaren P1, so nothing more for the 12C Spider from there either.

JCB DieselMax

Fri, 25 Aug 2006

Following its display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last month, the JCB DieselMax has recently proved itself the fastest yet diesel-powered car during Speed Week at the Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah. Andy Green, who in 1997 broke the sound barrier on land in Thrust SSC, piloted DieselMax to reach a top speed of 350.09mph, increasing the existing record set in 1973 by over 100mph. Helping the JCB DieselMax achieve this is a drag coefficient of just 0.174 and two 4.4-liter four-cylinder engines, each producing 750PS.

Audi Q7 S Line Sport and Style Editions revealed

Fri, 24 Jan 2014

Audi Q7 S Line Style Edition and S Line Sport Edition revealed The Audi Q7 is rapidly becoming invisible in the premium SUV market as it’s overshadowed by newer offerings from BMW and Mercedes, and from Land Rover too. But we’re expecting an all new Audi Q7 to arrive later in 2014 which, Audi hope, will offer enough to make the Q7 relevant to buyers of big, luxury SUVs once again. But in the meantime, Audi still wants to be shifting Q7s from their showrooms so we get a pair of special edition Q7s – the Q7 S Line Sport Edition and S Line Style Edition – to hopefully add a bit of fizz to Q7 sales.
