Speedriven developed these downpipes to provide a significantly more exhaust flow than the factory units. This improved flow delivers a noticeable increase in horsepower, torque, and throttle response across the RPM range- but there’s more to these downpipes than a simple, “better than stock” upgrade. Speedriven developed these downpipes to provide sufficient airflow for even our 800+ HP billet-wheel turbo packages.

In other words, you can buy the Speedriven high-flow performance downpipes for your stock Mercedes V12, and enjoy them for the life of the car- whether that means leaving it stock, or building up into a record-running track weapon.

Speedriven’s stainless steel downpipes are available now for 2003-2013 Mercedes-Benz S600 and S65 AMG and CL600 and CL65AMG.  Mid-section "H pipe" included for 2007-2013 models (shown, below).

The Ampera is designed around GM’s newly christened Voltec plug-in hybrid technology.

Is this the new Lexus RC F Coupe?

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

Is this the new Lexus RC F Coupe? These could be Photoshops based on the Lexus LF-CC – which previewed the new IS – but they do have the feel of being real, and if they are then Lexus is delivering up an RC Coupe that’s pretty faithful to the LF-CC Concept and which promises to be a real competitor for the BMW M3. Under the bonnet of the RC F is expected to be a 5.0 litre V8 delivering around 455bhp and 400lb/ft of torque, complete with cylinder deactivation for more frugal running when you’re not wringing the neck of the V8, and mated to an eight-speed auto ‘box with flappy paddles and three driving modes.

Acura NSX laps Mid-Ohio

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

It didn't have the production engine, nor the production exhaust (it was gloriously loud) and because there were safety vehicles on the track it wasn't able to go flat-out, but by golly there it was, a bright blue 2015 Acura NSX lapping Mid-Ohio just before the start of the Honda Indy 200. Being a production mule with any number of systems still under development, it couldn't be turned over to just any driver. So it was piloted by Jason Widmer, assistant large project leader for testing for the new NSX.
