Audi has taken its tin-opener to the RS5, to create this RS5 Cabriolet. Powertrain-wise, it's mechanically identical to the coupe, only now there's a soft-top roof that'll fold away in 15secs at speeds of up to 31mph.  Folding the roof swallows 60 litres of the boot's 380-litre capacity, but it's the sonorous engine that we're more interested in... Porsche 918 Spyder details emerge in leaked document

Rennteam.com forum member Rossi has posted what looks to be leaked details of the Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid. We know much of the information, but we're psyched to learn that it only comes in left-hand drive. Other surprises include the quick charger that reduces charge times about 30 minutes and the inclusion of Sail Mode, which decouples the transmission from the engine to conserve fuel.

A paddleshift DSG-equipped three-door example has lapped the 12-mile lap in 7min 58.44sec – smashing the previous record of 8min 7.97sec, held by the Renaultsport Megane Trophy. It's a slap in Honda's face too: the Japanese maker wanted its new Civic Type-R to be the first sub-8min hatch.
