THE SYSTEM  INCLUDES A SEALED ALTERNATOR WITH ADAPTER SLEEVES TO MOUNT TO A VOLVO MARINE DIESEL ENGINE (MD 2003),  ADAPTERS ARE AVAILABLE THAT ACCOMMODATE OTHER ENGINES. A BALMAR MAXCHARGE 12VOLT 3 STAGE REGULATOR,  A HEART INTERFACE DIGITAL ECHO CHARGE,  A LINK 10 SINGLE BATTERY MONITOR AND A NEWMAR AC SELECTOR SWITCH. ASSOCIATED CABLES ETC.

 

THIS SYSTEM WAS PURCHASED FROM FERRIS POWER PRODUCTS A FEW YEARS AGO TO BE INSTALLED ON MY 35 FOOT SAILBOAT. IT WAS NEVER INSTALLED AND ALL THE COMPONENTS ARE NEW AND UNUSED.

 

THE ALTERNATOR HAS A SEALED CASE FOR USE IN THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT BUT OF COURSE CAN BE USED ON AN RV SYSTEM AS WELL.

The new Volvo V40 has been given a 5 Star rating by Euro NCAP, in the process getting the best result ever recorded. If a Volvo can’t get a 5 Star rating in the Euro NCAP tests then Volvo’s USP is in trouble. So the news that the new V40 got a 5 Star rating in the latest round of tests comes as no surprise.

Alongside the Astra GTC and Zafira Tourer, Vauxhall (and thus Opel) is unveiling something a little more ‘out there’ at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. It’s this tiny city car, known by Vauxhall as RAK e, and which we’re going to call the Rake. The name is a modern take on the Rak 2, a rocket-powered Opel that hit 140mph in 1928.
