Legend of the Guardian® Bell

Many of us have heard the legend about Evil Road Spirits. The legend says they are little gremlins that live on your bike. They love to ride, and they’re also responsible for most of your bike’s problems. Sometimes your turn signals refuse to work, your battery goes dead, the clutch needs adjustment or any of several hundred things that can go wrong. These problems are caused by Evil Road Spirits. Evil Road Spirits can’t live in the presence of the bell, because they get trapped in the hollow of the bell. Among other things, their hearing is supersensitive, so the constant ringing of the bell and the confined space drives them insane. They lose their grip and eventually fall to the roadway. Have you ever wondered how potholes come from? The bell has served its purpose.

If you pick up a Guardian® Bell of your own, the magic will work, but if your bell is given to you, the power is doubled, and you know that somewhere you have a special friend helping to look after you. So, if you have a friend who doesn’t have a bell, why not give them one? It’s a nice feeling for the recipient to know you care. The bell, plus a good preventive maintenance program by the bikes owner, will help eliminate Evil Road Spirits.

Polishing the Guardian® Bell

It has been a tradition among some of us for a long time to attach a bell to our left swing arm, to remember our brothers and sisters who have gone down riding. Every time we get down to wash and polish our bell, we are reminded of friends lost, and our thoughts turn to the meaning of being in the wind. As we ride and hear the bell ring, we know that our brothers and sisters are riding with us, and how easy it would be to join them with a single mistake. And maybe, just maybe, the next time a situation comes up, they will be there to help us...as long as we remember them by polishing the bell.

Andy Saunders sells 'Art Cars' collection

Tue, 04 Nov 2008

British 'car artist' Andy Saunders' 'Art Car' collection was sold by RM Auctions in London, UK on October 29, along with a selection of classic cars and a McLaren F1 that sold for £2.5 million - a new world record. Though lacking the quality of many Californian custom cars when seen close up, the Art Cars were fascinating to see, and unlike other custom car creators, Saunders has made almost all of the cars for himself; conceiving and creating the cars without any design process beyond thinking them through and getting his hands dirty in evenings after work.  Each of the cars introduced new themes not evident in their donor designs and, within the context of many salubrious but established classic car designs at the auction, they had a powerful quixotic appeal. So why is he selling them?

Hyundai beats 2011 sales figures – with almost 2 months of 2012 left

Mon, 12 Nov 2012

Hyundai UK has revealed that it has sold 64,000 cars so far in 2012, beating the 2011 sales total of 63,577 with almost two months to go. Hyundai UK is celebrating after surpassing their total UK sales of 63,577 cars in 2011 with the best part of two months of 2012 still left to rack up more sales – 64,000 cars sold in 2012 and counting. The strong Hyundai sales are no doubt thanks to a strong showing from the i40 and i40 Tourer and the new i30, both of which are now rolling out of UK showrooms in decent numbers.
