Blue Swallow Aircraft, LLC and This Old Airplane have produced a 275+ page book on historical aircraft covering techniques. This book is compiled from a dozen, hard to find aviation books, beginning in 1914, through 1939. We provide the reader with numerous details and useful pictures that accurately show the original covering techiniques. You will see how aircraft were covered using Irish linen, cotton, and dope, prior to WW II. You would have to spend hundreds of dollars to collect all these books in one place. This volume is commercially reproduced and spine bound in a single collection. It is a reproduction of the original material. NOT the original books!

Please read carefully as one poor soul was terribly confused and thought he was buying "the original materials" and then complained and left negative feedback when it was not "the original pages". Selling the original pages would be impossible, seeing that we have had to gather this material from the archives of numerous aviation museums the world over. But there are all kinds of people out there, so we have to explain everything in fine detail for fear of being flammed on Ebay now.

Some recent comments from our Blue Swallow Aircraft Customers:

Hi John, Wonderful material, very helpful

Thanks again for a great dvd. Sincerely, Paul in CT

Thank you for the aircraft woodworking DVD’s. Please include me in any new DVD in the future. Darrell in Colorado

I finally got the chance to sit down and watch the DVD's you sent. I think they're well worth the money.

I also think the information is useful for anyone building an airplane, not just antique enthusiasts. Brian in Kansas

Excellent videos, many useful tips and how-to information, thanks.

Quick ship. Good information, good quality DVD presentation.

Very satisfied .

Defending an old-school Land Rover

Mon, 15 Oct 2012

I don't know how to respond today after seeing on our very own homepage that the Land Rover people will bring the successor of its beloved Defender to the United States market. The Defender is a vehicle about which “lust” is an insufficiently weak noun or verb; current and vintage Defenders elicit something beyond an emotive response. They are visceral.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport speed record cancelled by Guinness

Sun, 07 Apr 2013

The title of the world’s fastest car held by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport has been removed from the Guinness World Records. But, nearly three years on from when the Veyron Super Sport achieved its world record run of 267.81mph, Guinness World Records have decided that it’s invalid. It seems the heirs to the McWhirter twins have discovered the Veyron Super Sport Bugatti used for their record setting run wasn’t a standard production car, but that Bugatti had removed its speed limiter.

Audi unveils armored A8L Security

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

While unveiling the Allroad E-Tron Shooting Brake at the Detroit Auto Show, Audi also quietly debuted the A8L Security version of its new range-topping sedan this week, armored to the highest level of ballistic protection for passenger cars. The A8L Security is based on the facelifted version of Audi's third-generation A8 sedan, and this armored version will be available both with Audi 4.0 TFSI V8 engine and the 6.0-liter W12. Audi set out to design the current A8L with building an armored version in mind, as opposed to the first-generation A8 of the 1990s which was not offered in Security specification until very late in the product cycle.
