Peugeot and Philippe Starck design bicycle for Bordeaux scheme

Peugeot and accomplished designer Philippe Starck, have developed a unique bike for the city of Bordeaux as part of their continuous promotion of cycling in the city. The new concept of bike-scooter, proposed by Starck and adapted for production by Peugeot, will help in the city's ongoing efforts to improve mobility within Bordeaux. In 15 years the number of cyclists has tripled after a number of initiatives came into effect, two examples being limiting traffic and developing the tramway within the city.

The Kode9 coupé, as teased in a behind-the-scenes video, follows on from the Kode7 first shown in 2008 and, if the video is any indication, this voluminous, 1960s-inspired creation will continue that car's attention to delightful detail. GM to auction 'Cooksey' Corvette Z06 to benefit Haiti relief efforts

General Motors will donate the proceeds from the sale of a limited-edition Chevrolet Corvette 427 Z06 that is crossing the auction block this weekend to help fund relief efforts in Haiti. GM design boss Ed Welburn will introduce the car at the Barrett-Jackson auction on Saturday in Scottsdale, Ariz. The automaker will donate the money from the sale to the American Red Cross to fund its work in earthquake-devastated Haiti.
