Cabbies urged to keep crime watch

The London Taxi Watch initiative aims to persuade drivers to pass on information to Crimestoppers anonymously. It is hoped that the nature of their job will enable them to alert the authorities to suspicious behaviour.
Nearly a half of male drivers admit to sleeping at the wheel

Road safety charity Brake and insurance company Direct Line found that 31% of all drivers admit to ‘head-nodding’ at the wheel – meaning they’ve fallen asleep while driving a car for between two and 30 seconds. 1.7 million drivers consider insurance fraud
