Wolfgang Bernhard will take key post at Mercedes-Benz
Fri, 05 Feb 2010Wolfgang Bernhard will take a key role at Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz Cars unit, the company said today. Bernhard will join Daimler's management board with responsibility for Mercedes-Benz Cars' production and procurement and for the Mercedes-Benz vans division, a statement said. Bernhard, 49, was Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche's right-hand man at Chrysler before Daimler sold its former U.S.

Mon, 11 Aug 2014Kia has released pictures of the exterior of its new Sorento, ahead of the car's debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. It's the third generation of the Korean firm's mid-size SUV, and first impressions are that it conforms to the inexorable trend towards crossover aesthetics shown by both the Sorento itself - which has transitioned from utility-focused body-on-frame SUV to its latest car-like form - and its rivals. The Sorento gains 95mm in length, taking it to 4,780mm, with 80mm of that increase being the wheelbase, which now measures 2,780mm.
Supermarkets Announce Fuel Price Cuts
Tue, 11 Mar 2014AHEAD of the forthcoming Budget, two major supermarket chains have announced a welcome fuel price cut. The first company to show its hand was Tesco, which has announced a reduction in its petrol and diesel by 1p a litre. Asda then followed, with the supermarket giant taking up to 1p a litre off its petrol and up to 2p a litre off its diesel, pledging motorists would pay no more than 132.7p a litre for diesel and 126.7p a litre for petrol.
