Jaguar F-type prototype (2013): the testing videos
Thu, 05 Apr 2012As Jaguar confirmed its new F-type sports car at the 2012 New York auto show, it issued some teaser video footage of the new £55,000 roadster landing in showrooms in spring 2013. Jag ambassador and former racer Martin Brundle hitches a lift with the company's chief dynamics engineer Mike Cross for a few hot laps in the F-type prototype around its handling circuit at Gaydon. The ‘Quadrifoglio’ bit refers back to Alfa’s racing history, and was the emblem used on those cars and was most recently seen on special editions of the Alf GT and 147. But the biggest news, apart from the extras and the paint job, is the clever Multiair system that Alfa is busy introducing.

Land Rover will continue to share components with Jaguar, which is also under Tata ownership. Land Rover already uses Jaguar's 5.0-liter V8 engine in all but one of its vehicles.
