The Kia Niro Concept (pictured) debuts at Frankfurt as a pointer to a new compact SUV Earlier this month we had a teaser from Kia for a new compact urban SUV heading for a debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and here its is – the Kia Niro Concept. Kia has obviously been careful with its concept naming this time after the storm in a teacup response to the Kia Provo last year, with a name that shouts ‘Famous Actor’ rather than ‘Famous Terrorist’. Sensible move.

Mercedes at 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed Mercedes plan to put on a show at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed with historic F1 cars, AMG, historic cars and much more. The 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed is now only a little over three months away, and car makers are starting to reveal what plans they have for what is quite possibly the best pertrolhead experience in the world. Mercedes are offering a cornucopia of delights for the 2012 FoS and are taking the opportunity to bring along their latest offerings as well as plenty of stuff from their back catalogue, and the two collide in the 2012 Mercedes SL as Mercedes celebrate 60 years since the W194 300 SL and 75 years since the 1937 W125 Tripoli Grand Prix car.

The Mitsubishi Outlander GT will show at the New York Motor Show [ad#ad-1] The picture above is the Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept (which is not a Photoshop mis-hap – just another version of a car maker’s ‘tease’ image, this time blurred). This is Mitsubishi’s efforts to make the Outlander more appealing, and from what we can see it’s taken a design cue from the Lamborghini Reventon, by putting a ‘Stealth Fighter’ nose on the front. Actually, as a blurred image, the front end does look a little reminiscent of the Lagonda Concept we saw at Geneva last month.
