Condition:New

HOLLEY Dominator air screen filter. Perfect for street cruising to keep bugs and debris out. Works where others won't fit. (only 2in. high) For race cars tuning in the pits and while shut off. Throw that old rag away.

On the track it creates a smooth laminar flow of air to cut down on turbulence. Makes for even pressure on the bowl vents also . This is especially important when running a ram air scoop. Many people report better and more consistent ETs due to the lack of turbulence. I've used it on some cars that were bucking on top end and with this screen smoothed right out.

ALSO, picked up some HP on the dyno..8-10hp and 10-12 ft/lbs of torque.....that surprised me! (see dyno sheet, blue line is with diffuser screen)). This was on a 555 ci BUICK (no not 455). This was with smooth non-turbulant dyno air. More to be expected on a hood scoop with turbulent air. Test done by Tri Shield Performance in Minnesota.

Quality polished stainless steel. If you want billet aluminum unit that does the same thing, look in back of National Dragster ads. But...it's big bucks. Or from JEGS:  http://www.jegs.com/i/TICU-Racing/597/AS4500/10002/-1?parentProductId=1566809

I've had some customers put a hole in top and epoxy a stainless washer there in order to run a stud and wingnut but I've found it stays on fine especially if you slightly oval the base so it has a slight interference fit.......unless you're doing wheelstands like my buddy in the pic.

Fits HOLLEY Dominator carbs ONLY.

Buy two and get free shipping on 2nd one.

In response to emails I've been getting: PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A RELISTING BECAUSE OF PROBLEM WITH PREVIOUS SALE. JUST RE-LISTING TO SELL ANOTHER. I've sold over 75 of them with no complaints.

VW Group planning 10-speed DSG, new powerful diesel engine & more plug-in hybrids

Sun, 28 Apr 2013

The end of the internal combustion engine is nigh, they say, as the world tries to clean up its environmental act and works towards a goal of electric motors to power our personal transport. But car makers are fighting that belief by extracting more power for less fuel from ICE engines, and there’s still a very long way to go before the ICE engine is consigned to the history books. Volkswagen has already reduced the fuel consumption of both their diesel and petrol engines by 30 per cent since 2000 and plan a further reduction of 15 per cent by 2020.

Geneva 2011 - Best in Show

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

Unlike Detroit, which generated a lot of hype for what turned out to be not as much new product as we'd hoped, the Geneva show was a true return to form, with all new vehicles occupying various different market segments making their debuts. But Geneva wouldn't be complete without the seemingly never-ending stream of concept cars filling the halls of the Palexpo. Every year the Swiss show's neutrality is the perfect breeding ground for the French, Italian and German automakers to strut their future visions for mobility about.
