Holley (qft) E85, 1050 Hp, 4150 Double Pumper, Annular Boosters, Red Billet Base on 2040-parts.com
Jeannette, Pennsylvania, US
Here we have a brand new E85, HP 1050 squarebore, 4 barrel, double pumper (mechanical secondary), 4150 style carburetor professionally built in my shop and set up for Pro-street and strip use. THIS CARB IS FOR USE WITH E85 FUEL ONLY! I usually have another 1050 listed for use with gas. This is one of my custom builds consisting of a new Quick Fuel Technology aluminum, contoured, HP style main body for maximum flow and enhanced booster signal. It will flow 1050 cfm with it's huge 1.580" venturi diameter, and is dyno-proven to 750+ horsepower. This is NOT the cheap Chinese knock-off junk sold under the brand name "Pro Comp". These parts are machined in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Please call the number below with any questions or concerns regarding your application.
It has been assembled with high-flow, stainless steel tipped .130" needle & seat assemblies, 50cc pumps, #40 squirters, blue non-stick bowl and block gaskets, nylon bowl screw and needle & seat hardware gaskets, and vent baffles. The jetting is 90 up front with a 4.5" Hg high-flow power valve, and 102 in the rear with the power valve circuit blocked. The mounting gaskets are included as shown.
Here's a list of features;
QFT polished lightweight aluminum main body with screw-in air bleeds. .060" idle and .028" high speed bleeds installed.
Annular booster inserts machined from billet aluminum then anodized for corrosion resistance.
Red anodized, billet aluminum metering blocks that are custom calibrated for maximum performance.
Red anodized billet aluminum baseplate that is much stronger than the stock cast piece.
Teflon coated throttle shafts that are slabbed for maximum flow, stainless steel throttle blades, and loctited button-head screws for increased flow due to decreased turbulence.
Lightweight aluminum racing style fuel bowls with dual inlets and sight glass windows that will not yellow. No more fumbling with sight plugs!
Red anodized inlet fittings and plugs to match the base. Uses a standard Holley model 4150, inverted flare 3/8" fuel line with 5/8"-18 flare nut.
Jet extensions and notched float in the rear to prevent fuel starvation during a hard launch.
Rear idle speed adjustment screw for fine tuning the 4 corner idle.
This carburetor weighs right around 7-1/2 lbs., while a typical cast zinc carb weighs in at 11 to 13 lbs.
Please email or call me at my shop with any questions, as I will be glad to help you with your setup. I can be reached at 724-523-2947 from 9 am 'til 7 pm, eastern standard time for tech or service help.
I welcome all potential bidders to check my feedback. My feedback from carburetor and parts sales is 100%, and I've sold hundreds in the past few years. I am the owner/operator of a one-man shop and my carbs are built with pride one at a time. Please see my other auctions for more great deals.
Thanks, Steve

New Land Rover Defender will be “…the bollocks, the absolute dog’s bollocks”!
Sat, 30 Mar 2013Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern has made it clear that the new Land Rover Defender – due in 2015 – will be a car that will be a perfect replacement for the iconic Defender. It’s not often you get a proper statement of intent on a planned new car, but Land Rover’s design director Gerry McGovern has made it absolutely clear what he thinks of the new Land Rover Defender he’s busy creating. Speaking to a small group of Australian journalists, Gerry communicated his feelings about the new Defender in the best way possible, simply by not mincing his words: “This car will be the bollocks, I assure you.
College for Creative Studies Student Exhibition 2006
Wed, 25 Oct 2006Senior transportation design students at Detroit's College for Creative Studies presented their work to the public and industry representatives during the school's annual Student Exhibition earlier this year. The major project brief revolved around the notion of an 'Exquisite Chrysler.' Students had to identify six vehicles from the past that represented a combination of great beauty and good design, regardless of brand. In addition, six examples of great design outside of the automotive realm were to be chosen as possible influences.
The heartbreak of Jaguar love finally requited
Tue, 01 Jun 2010As a young boy in the early 1960s, I would trek solo to our local auto show in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While other boys and their dads would make a beeline to the latest Corvettes and later American muscle cars, I would always head first for the Jaguar stand. I found the combination of different styling, luxurious wood and leather interiors and promise of fast travel through landscapes that were foreign to me to be intoxicating.
