Here we have a Quick Fuel Technology 650 cfm squarebore, 4 barrel, HP vacuum secondary carburetor professionally and set up for street and strip use. This carb employs the modern universal linkage, QFT polished aluminum HP main body for added flow and enhanced booster signal, high performance downleg boosters, red anodized billet QFT metering blocks (model 4150), and 4 corner idle. It will flow 700+ cfm and will easily support 425 horsepower. Please call the number below with any questions or concerns regarding your application.

It has been assembled with high-flow .110" needle & seat assemblies, 30cc pump, and # 28 squirter. The jetting is 69 up front with a 6.5" Hg high-flow power valve, and 77 in the rear with the power valve circuit blocked. I've installed an adjustable secondary cover for easy secondary opening rate changes (purple spring installed). You just turn the screw on the side counter-clockwise for a quicker opening rate, clockwise for slower. It was assembled with a new heavy-duty cast aluminum QFT base plate, new polished aluminum bowls with clear, non-yellowing sight windows (no more fumbling with brass sight plugs!), new screws, jets, blue non-stick gaskets, and the mounting gaskets are included as shown. THIS CARB WAS DYNO-TESTED ON A MODERATEY BUILT 355 and made 423 horsepower, therefore it is not exactly new, but good as new.

Please email or call me at my shop with any questions regarding fitment. I'll need your engine, trans (stall if automatic), and rear gear specs. I can be reached at 724-523-2947 from 9 am 'til 7 pm, eastern standard time.

I welcome all potential bidders to check my feedback. My feedback from carburetor sales is 100%, and I've sold hundreds in the past few years. I am the owner/operator of a one-man shop and my carbs are built with pride one at a time. Please see my other auctions for more great deals.

      Thanks, Steve

Aston Martin. Burj Al Arab Hotel. Helicopter. Mix & Serve.

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

As part of Aston Martin’s Centenary celebrations in Dubai, an Aston Martin Vanquish has been helicoptered to the top of the Burj Al Arab hotel. There’s no more extra power on offer from the centenary edition Astons, but they do get a special paint job and interior and come with solid silver enamelled plaques commemorating the centenary, even if Aston Martin seem to have only been able to cobble together a Vanquish Centenary Edition so far. But things have got a bit more spectacular in Dubai, with Aston Martin using a helicopter to stick a Vanquish on the helipad of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, 1,000 ft up at the top of the iconic sail-shaped building.

Newcastle’s Speed Cameras switched off for 4 years – Council chief still gets a ticket

Fri, 21 Oct 2011

Speed Cameras in Newcastle switched off Speed cameras – certainly many of them – are nothing more than tax generators. But if you live, or travel, in Newcastle, then speed cameras have contributed virtually nothing – they’ve all been switched off for up to four years. Newcastle has a total of fourteen speed cameras, but to save money the local council has had them all switched off for the last two years, and some of them haven’t worked for four years in a secret, money-saving exercise.

Bonhams' Greenwich auction will show Italian rarities

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

The biggest star of Bonhams' seventh annual Greenwich auction will be the 1975 Lamborghini Countach LP400 Periscopica shown above, a pristine early example of the legendary wedge with a single owner and less than 10,500 miles -- its roof carried a groove cut into the sheetmetal that allowed light to hit the rearview mirror, providing a still-laughable semblance of rearward visibility. Of course, the door is always preferable. Just 158 LP400 Countachs were ever produced, before the firm moved on in 1978 to the outrageously styled LP400S.
