Current MINI Hatch production ends

MINI has built over 1 million examples of the second-generation MINI Hatch, but now the very last one has left the production line in Oxford. It will soon be replaced by an all-new – and much larger – third-generation MINI Hatch, which was launched to the press and public at the Oxford Plant on 18 November 2013. Video: Design development of the 2015 Ford Mustang

Ford has released a series of videos coinciding with the world debut of the new Mustang exploring the exterior design, interior design and the color and materials behind the new pony. The three videos include exterior design director Joel Piaskowski with exterior design manager Kemal Curic, interior chief designer Doyle Letson with interior design manager William Mangan and Ford's group color and materials chief designer,  Susan Lampinen. Each take us through the key decisions made in their respective areas in the creation of the new, global Mustang.

GM expands advanced-vehicle-technology center in California

General Motors unveiled a new technical center dedicated to the development, maintenance and testing of alternative-energy vehicles last week in Torrance, Calif. The company has had local digs for years but recently leased the building next to its existing Advanced Technology Center for an alternative-energy research facility. It now employs a dozen scientists, technicians and engineers to advance the electrification of GM vehicles.
