Fiat 500L
Thu, 02 Feb 2012Fiat has released official images of its new 500L ahead of its Geneva motor show debut. The L – short for large – is a new, five-seat B/C-segment MPV that is set to go on sale late 2012. Despite carrying the 500 moniker, the lower half of the car bears more resemblance to the Panda, thanks to its exaggerated fender surfaces and 'squircular' body mouldings.
Land Rover start tease for new Range Rover Sport
Mon, 11 Mar 2013Land Rover has started to tease the debut of the new Range Rover Sport ahead of a live drive through Manhattan to show the new Sport to NYC. In the last couple of years we’ve had two of the new Land Rover products hit showrooms – the Range Rover Evoque and the 2013 Range Rover – to almost universal praise and big queues around the world as car buyers clamour for Land Rover’s latest new toys. The next instalment in Land Rover’s new model assault is the arrival of the 2014 Range Rover Sport, a car that combines elements of both the new Range Rover and Evoque as Land Rover conspire to make the new RRS the car it should always have been.
Citroen C1 gets insurance ‘Black Box’ as standard. Orwellian control arrives.
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Citroen has announced that the C1 Connexion will now come with a Telematics ‘Black Box’ as standard fitting as Big Brother moves closer. As if it wasn’t enough that every street corner, business and park now has at least one CCTV camera, that we’re prosecuted for ‘speeding’ by yellow boxes on poles that take no account of road conditions or circumstances and that motorists are being milked dry by ‘stupid’ box junction and red light cameras, now Citroen are to fit a telematics ‘Black Box’ as standard to its C1 Connexion. Citroen say the ‘Black Box’ fitting is so they can offer free insurance to buyers, with anyone from 19-75 getting a year’s free insurance with every C1 as long as they have at least two years no claims bonus.
