One of the big let-downs of Yank-Tanks has always been the poor interior. With dashboards that look (and feel) as if they’ve been made out of recycled Fairy Liquid bottles, and more shake, rattle and roll than Bill Haley, the interiors were always one of the main reasons us Brits just couldn’t live with the cars.

It might have just announced a new lap record at the Nurburgring – chief test driver Tochio Suzuki shaved nine seconds off the GT-R's previous record of 7min 38 – but Nissan's engineers are already working on upgrades to the everyman's supercar.Chief vehicle engineer Kazutoshi Mizuno told CAR Online that the GT-R models bound for the American market would benefit from a range of small tweaks, including three harder engine mounts and a stiffer transaxle mount to stop the mechancial parts from moving under extreme cornering. Power outputs released for the 2015 Ford Mustang

Two engines will be offered: A 429bhp 5.0-litre V8 or a more European-friendly (slightly) 306bhp 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine. US buyers also get the option of a 296bhp 3.7-litre V6, but it’s not coming here and there’s no diesel for us limeys, or anyone else.
