Wed, 20 Mar 2013

A new generation Jaguar XJR is being launched at the New York Auto Show later this month, signalling the return of the range-topping XJ with 542bhp. We’ve been heralding the arrival of an all new Jaguar XJR for four years and now, finally  Jaguar is about to deliver with a new XJR sporting Jaguar’s 542bhp version of the supercharged V8 under the bonnet. Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic: technical details With 285hp and 295lb ft of torque from its 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, it’s 45hp and 44lb ft more potent than the previous top dog – if still some way short of the likes of the 310hp Audi RS Q3 and the new 400hp Porsche Macan Turbo.

What we actually have is what looks like a grey-haired German accountant standing next to a car under a sheet. But this is in fact Michael Dick – Audi’s Board Member for Technical Development – standing next to the new Audi A8.
