Supercar owners hire runway to find top speed
Wed, 14 May 2014“What’s the point of owning a supercar,” some might say. “You’ll never be able to reach its full performance potential on the road.” And while that’s true, there is an alternative to risking your driving licence if you buy a car like the new McLaren 650S or Lamborghini Huracan. Toyota Yaris & Yaris Hybrid get updated for 2014. Price from £10,895
Wed, 04 Dec 2013The Toyota Yaris & Yaris Hybrid have been updated for 2014 Toyota has decided to have a play with the Yaris and Yaris Hybrid, bringing in new trim levels as well as getting the 1.4 litre diesel in to the sub-100g/k emissions bracket. Toyota call the new trim levels a simplification, but you’ll still have the option of Active, Icon (but not on the hybrid), Icon Plus and Trend depending on how many goodies you want to fork out for. The entry-level Yaris Active offers a basic equipment level with electric front windows, USB, and audio controls on the steering wheel, but you’ll have to pick the Yaris Icon to get stuff like 15″ alloys, electric door mirrors, Toyota Touch Media System, rear-vew camera, AirCon and Bluetooth.
2010 Kia Forte: More goodies for a lower price
Tue, 14 Jul 2009The new Forte replaces the Kia Spectra compact sedan for 2010. Kia's biggest seller gets new skin and a wider, longer version of the Hyundai Elantra platform for the 2010 model year but falls short in simple things such as the workings of shifters and clutches. Still, it's only $14,390 to start, and that includes Bluetooth, an iPod jack and three months of Sirius satellite radio.
