BMW 7-series models hit by recall
Mon, 29 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall of 45,500 BMW 7-series sedans in the 2005-2008 model year range. The recall, which has its origins in a NHTSA investigation initiated in August 2011, addresses a software malfunction that may cause vehicles to roll away when parked. A glitch in the BMW Comfort Access keyless-entry and ignition system is responsible for the problem.

The news comes following a freedom of information request carried out by MSN to the six police authorities covering London’s orbital motorway, which according to the Department for Transport carries 153,000 vehicles a day. Classic Design Concepts has published photos and details of the "Bad Penny" Mustang that will be debuting at the show, and the company promises that it will be as fast and as mean as it looks. The base vehicle used for the build is a 2014 Ford Mustang GT, with a 5.0-liter four-valve Ti-VCT V8 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
