This listing is for a black gauge overlay set pre-installed on transparent back plates, installation washers, and full step by step instructions.

The back plates will allow your new overlays to be bright as possible at night.  Now you can retain your original Honda plates for safe keeping.

They fit alot of honda cb550, cb550f, and cb500t models from the 1970's.  They are black, red, and white in color.  They are adhesive backed vinyl and UV resistant.  These look excellent on cafe racers.

The overlays can't simply be printed on a home computer.  They have to be professionally printed and laser cut to ensure good quality.

The back plates are machine cut and ready for install.  The mounting holes and needle hole is pre drilled.  The mileage and trip areas are transparent so that they can be read.

These are easier to install than one would think, it takes less than an hour and that is if you have never installed them before.

The tic marks, font, outside diameter, etc are very accurate.

These will fit 1970's CB550, CB550f SOHCs and cb500t bikes that meet the below characteristics....

----  Nippon Seiki Japan is printed on the bottom of the tachometer and speedometer

----  The trip and milage cut outs are L shaped and not a basic rectangle

----  The trip cut out is above the milage cutout on the speedometer.

----  There is a 1 1/8" or 29mm distance between the milage and trip cut outs.  Measured from the bottom of the main part of the trip cut out and the top of the milage cut out.

Please take a good look at the pictures and be 110% that you have the correct style tachometer and speedometer before purchasing.  These will not fit all cb550 fours.  Please ask any questions before bidding as well.  We will be sure to answer any questions promptly.  This auction is for the two decals, two back plates, four washers, and installation instructions...not anything in the installed picture.

PAYPAL ONLY.

Shipping anywhere inside the U.S. is FREE. Shipping anywhere outside the U.S. is $4.99. We ship all of our overlays in a cardboard box to prevent bending and damage. Shipping is USPS first class. We do combine shipping on all our overlays.

Please check out our other gauge faces available on eBay. We currently have over 25 different gauge decals, black, blue, white, aluminum, skull graphics, flag graphics, etc.

We also sell seat padding for your homemade fiberglass or metal cafe racer seat.

We are not responsible if the USPS has issues shipping. The USPS has succesfully shipped 100% of our overlays to date. We can provide a scan of any and all shipping receipts upon customer request.

Returns will only be accepted within 7 days of receiving item.  Buyer is responsible for return shipping.  Item must be in brand new condition.

Porsche Panamera Hybrid: Geneva Reveal

Sun, 13 Feb 2011

The Porsche Panamera Hybrid (click for bigger image) We’ve got to say, the news that the Porsche Panamera Hybrid (strictly speaking, the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid) is going to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in a couple of weeks time isn’t exactly a shock. After all, Porsche has made no secret of its plans to stick Hybrid gubbins in the Panamera; CO2 targets, and all that guff. But Porsche seems to think it is a surprise (unless they really have a surprise and are planning on revealing another Porsche hybrid altogether much sooner than we expected) as the press release we got in from Porsche has the enigmatic little tease of a headline – ‘Porsche: Hybrid world premiere’.

When news about new cars, motorsports and car collectors shows up at autoweek.com, interactive editor Dale Jewett usually plays a role. It helps that Dale has 100-octane blood (with a fondness for Chevrolet Corvettes) and enjoys most forms of racing, keeping the Web site up to date over the weekends. Or you can hear him at times during episodes of AutoWeek TV, or on the weekly AutoWeek radio show on Saturday nights.

Gordon Murray T.25: More detail & photos

Mon, 28 Jun 2010

The Gordon Murray T25 We’ve already made our feelings about Gordon Murray’s ‘T’ cars clear. We think Gordon – creator of the McLaren F1 – is on exactly the right track for City Cars – either the T.25 or it’s electric sibling the T.27 – looking to create cheap to manufacture, small, light and very strong cars powered by either a small, 3-pot engine or by an electric motor. And today we get more detail – and photos – of the T.25, the ICE version.
