"After Market" Front Turn Signal Mounts for your 1984-85-86 Honda CB700SC Night Hawk. These replace the cracked, broken originals and look very similar. Remove the front fairing bolts(4 each) so you can get to the signal wires and unplug one signal at a time. Remove the bolt clamping the original mount to the fork tube(mount bolt),( mount bolt sleeve)"the metal tube from inside original mount", and then the screw on the back of the signal housing(signal screw). Next separate the signal from the old mount while working the wiring through .Push the wiring through the opening in the new mount,re- install the signal housing screw, then the mount bolt sleeve, mount bolt, and install the new washer and lock nut provided with your new mounts.Lastly reconnect the signal wires ,do the other signal, and test turn signal operation before re- installing the fairing. This job takes about an hour and half the first time you do it. Just remember to plug like colored wires back together and only tighten the mount lock nut enough so the mount doesn't turn on the fork. Don't over tighten! These (if you can find) run $32.00 - $55.00 at your dealer for the OEMs EACH. I am selling this set for both the front left and right side with a new washer and lock nut beginning at $ 22.72 Each plus shipping. Please note: These mounts are designed to fit the motorcycles" Original Turn Signals " however,if your current signals work with the original mount they will work with these. You will need your bike's original (signal mount bolt),(signal mount bolt sleeve from inside old mount) , and (signal housing screw) to successfully install these mounts. The bolt and signal screw can be purchased from a dealer, however, the sleeve is not available. Installing without the original bolt and sleeve will damage the new mounts. A certain level of mechanical ability is required to successfully install these as well as the correct original parts mentioned. I can not be responsible for customer damaged mounts and therefore will not except returns nor make refunds or exchanges. This kit comes with the left and right front mounts, two flat washers, and two lock nuts. Forty six sets sold!

Locke review: a road movie with a difference

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

Locke is a road movie with a difference – not to mention an enormous contrast to Need for Speed, which is the last heavy car content film I reviewed on MSN Cars. Simply put, Locke stars Tom Hardy and a BMW X5, and that’s about it. To say very much more than this would actually be to give away the, ahem, driving force of the plot – if you can even call it that.

Vauxhall: Three new engine ranges arriving in next year

Mon, 14 May 2012

Vauxhall Mokka - a likely recipient of the new Vauxhall engine range Vauxhall – and we assume Opel – are planning three new engine ranges to launch in the next twelve months. Vauxhall has revealed that they are planning a wholesale revamp of their engine range with the launch of three new engine ranges in the next year, starting with a new 1.6 litre turbo petrol. The new turbo petrol engine will get direct injection and start-stop technology that Vauxhall say will cut fuel consumption by 13 per cent.
