For your eyes only: British museum highlights Bond vehicles
Wed, 25 Jan 2012James Bond is best known for driving Aston Martins past and present. But over the course of 22 movies, Ian Fleming's character has piloted all sorts of motorized machines. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Bond films, the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, England, has put together an exhibit highlighting 50 of the most recognizable vehicles from his movies.
The new Mercedes-Benz CLA Super Bowl spot
Wed, 30 Jan 2013It takes a certain kind of chutzpah for a German company that supplied the Nazi war machine to use a track that features the line, “I rode a tank / Held a general's rank / When the Blitzkrieg raged / And the bodies stank.” Apparently, Mercedes-Benz has exactly that sort of chutzpah. The premise, of course, is that you don't have to sell your soul to afford the company's stylish new CLA. That for under 30 grand, you too can dance with Usher, be pulled into red-carpet photographs with Kate Upton, and compete in Formula 1 races.
2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible: First Photos
Mon, 24 Dec 2012We have the first photos of the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible ahead of a reveal at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. Bentley hasn’t done the official reveal for the GT Sports Convertible yet, so all we have are the first photos in all their purpleness (although the DVLA thinks this particular Bentley is black). Under the skin we expect the same W12 with 616bhp and 590lb/ft of torque which is enough, certainly in the tin-top GT Speed, to get the monster Bentley to 62mph in 4.2 seconds and on to 205mph.
