New Jaguar XJ illegal in the USA
Sat, 08 Aug 2009Jaguar's innovative dual-view screen will be illegal in the US It would be horrifying for Jaguar to discover that they’d built a glorious car like the new Jaguar XJ, only to find they’d dropped a huge clanger by making it an illegal road car in the US. It’s not that bad, but Ian Callum – Jaguar’s design guru – has confessed that the dual-view screen in the new XJ is actually not legal in the US. Whoops.
Surtees To Be Celebrated At Autosport International Show
Fri, 03 Jan 2014HE MAY have missed out on a knighthood but John Surtees’ life in motorsport will be celebrated at the forthcoming Autosport International show. Marking the start of 50th anniversary celebrations of the British legend’s 1964 Formula One World Championship win, his title-winning Ferrari 158 leads a special display at the show, which runs from 9th to 12th of January at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. After taking seven motorcycle Road Racing World Championships, Surtees became the first man to win world championships on both two and four wheels when he secured the 1964 title with Ferrari.
Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger to get a new lease on life
Mon, 28 Sep 2009With Fiat-based replacements still at least two years away, the Chrysler Group has delayed plans to kill its slow-selling Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger, sources say. The two sedans were all but left for dead by previous owner Cerberus Capital Management. Now insiders say Chrysler intends to freshen the cars and keep them on the market until late 2012.
