Kia Soul Facelift: New York catch-up

Mon, 25 Apr 2011

A nipped and tucked 2012 Kia Soul As the car world seems to become more corporate and bland with every year that passes, truly ‘Marmite’ cars get fewer and fewer. But one car that is still a ‘love it or hate it’ choice is the Postman-Pat Kia Soul. And it’s had a bit of a nip and tuck for he 2012MY and been rolled out at the New York Motor Show.

OFFICIAL: Alfa Romeo 4C laps the Nurburgring in 8:04s

Fri, 18 Oct 2013

The Alfa Romeo 4C (pictured) laps the Nurburgring in 8:04s We wouldn’t normally report on a car lapping the Nurburgring in around 8 minutes; after all, the Nurburgring lap record for a full production car is sub-7 minutes, so 8 minutes seems almost a stroll. But the lap time round the Nurburgring for the Alfa Romeo 4C is worthy of note because it’s a new lap record for a production car with less than 250bhp, and puts the Alfa 4C very much on the map as a performance car. We’d heard rumours a few weeks ago thatĀ Horst von Saurma has managed the impressive time in the 4C round the Nurburgring, but Alfa has now confirmed the time – with the 4C shod with road-legalĀ Pirelli Zero Trofeo tyres – was completed on 23rd September 2013.

Road America will be two-wheel heaven this weekend, as the iconic circuit plays host to vintage-motorcycle racing. Put on by the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association, the races run on Saturday and Sunday. They will feature motorcycles from the 1920s to the early 1970s, Superbikes from the 1970s and 1980s, and more-modern racers from the Sound of Singles, Battle of Twins and Sound of Thunder classes AHRMA is an enthusiast group that preserves the heritage of racing motorcycles through events at race circuits.
