Honda Engine Swap Guide Book - K20, K24 Series Engines Release Aug 2014 - SA276

Book Title: Honda K-Series Engine Swaps

• First book ever published on K-Series swapping
• The Honda K-Series engine represents the latest in
Honda performance technology
• Millions of engines from more than 12 years of production
are available for swapping projects

The Honda K-Series engine was introduced in 2001,
replacing the B-Series as the engine of choice for Honda enthusiasts.
These new K-Series engines are the most powerful
stock 4-cylinder Honda/Acura engines you can get. They
featured new technology such as a roller rocker valvetrain,
better flowing heads, and advanced variable cam timing
technology that made these engines suddenly the thing to
have. And that’s where the engine swappers come in.
In Honda K-Series Engine Swaps, author Aaron Bonk
guides you all the details, facts, and figures you will need to
complete a successful K-Series swap into your older chassis.
All the different engine variants are covered, and well
as interchangeability, compatibility, which accessories work,
wiring and controls operation, drivetrain considerations, and
more. While you can still modify your existing B-Series, dollar
for dollar, you can’t make more power than you can with a
Honda K-series engine.
If you have an older chassis and are looking for a serious
injection of power and technology, swapping a K-Series
engine is a great option. Honda K-Series Engine Swaps will
tell you everything you need to know.

About the Author
Aaron Bonk first took an interest in Honda performance in
the early 1990s. After studying mechanical engineering,
he established Holeshot Racing—the first tuning shop to
specialize in Honda engine swaps. There Bonk developed
many Honda-specific engine transplants, long before engine
mount kits and aftermarket wiring harnesses were realities.
He later transitioned into a career as an automotive journalist,
authoring two Honda technical books, and has since held
staff positions and contributed regularly to landmark Honda
performance titles, including Sport Compact Car, Turbo &
High-Tech Performance, Super Street, and many other print
and online publications. Bonk recently served as Honda
Tuning magazine’s editor-in-chief where he continues to contrbute regularly.

BMW to reveal Zagato concept at Pebble Beach

Thu, 16 Aug 2012

This weekend at Pebble Beach, Monterey and the Legends of the Autobahn, BMW will show off a handful of cars, the most intriguing of which is this Zagato concept. Basically looking like a swoopy version of the Z4, the Zagato concept will hold court next to the 2013 BMW 7-series, the Alpina B7 and more products from the M division, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Three vintage race cars will be out touring during the Motorsports Reunion, including the 1986 BMW-March GTP, the 1980 BMW M1 Procar and a 1975 BMW 3.5 CSL, the last of which will be piloted by BMW North America President and CEO Ludwig Willisch.

Mercedes try to 'bring the noise' back to F1

Thu, 15 May 2014

MERCEDES trialled a device aimed at amplifying and improving the much-maligned sound made by the 2014 marque Formula One cars on the second day of testing in Barcelona. With new V6 engines forming part of an overhaul in F1 regulations, widespread criticism of the dulcet tones has continued from the opening race of the season in Australia. With F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone amongst those to question the enjoyment of listening to the new engines, the teams decided to look into ways of making it a more pleasurable experience.
