Northumbria University Degree Show 2007

Students graduating from the Northumbria University BA (Hons) Transportation Design course based in Newcastle in the north east of England have shown their work in London in the exhibition 'Forming Emotion'. Held in Brick Lane as part of the 'Free Range' series of summer Art and Design shows, the exhibition of thesis projects featured a combination of scale models and 2D presentations of digitally-developed models. The Jaguar XJ 2.7 Diesel has won the 'Greenest Luxury Car' Award And although one of the strengths of Jaguar has been its heritage it has, to a degree, also become its Achilles Heel. The first Jaguar XJs were a triumph when they were launched in 1968, and put Jaguar leaps and bounds ahead of the German competition, in the same way Jaguar had taken the world by storm with the E-Type a few years before. But things started to fall apart for Jaguar in the ’70s with the fiasco that was British Leyland, and by trying to emulate Porsche by making each iteration of the XJ an evolution of the original all they managed to do was cement in the public mindset the failings of the XJ.

2013 Lexus LS – first official photo

The 2013 Lexus LS is due to be revealed on Monday but Lexus has already revealed the first official photo of the new LS. We reported earlier this month that the new 2013 Lexus LS was on the way – including an LS F Sport version - and that Lexus would be revealing their new flagship on 30th July. But hot on the heels of a couple of leaked photos of the new LS, Lexus has decided to be pragmatic and release an official first image of the 2013 LS ahead of the official reveal next week.
