SEMA 2008 show report: Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Using SEMA as a platform was the latest step in the Genesis PR push, as Hyundai builds up to the Coupe's US launch next year. Senate releases $350 billion more in bailout money

The Senate voted Thursday to release a second round of $350 billion in federal aid to rescue financial institutions. The money could be the source of additional loans to automakers, auto finance companies and perhaps suppliers. An earlier allocation of $350 billion funded the first installments of emergency loans to General Motors and Chrysler LLC.

The Concept BlueSport slots its efficient 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel four-cylinder midship in the compact chassis, demonstrating the sporty possibilities of the engine. With 177 hp and a healthy 258 lb-ft of torque, the diesel powerplant propels the 2,640-pound roadster to 60 mph in just 6.2 seconds.
