Unique Rolls-Royce rolls out for Masterpiece London event
Mon, 27 Jun 2011There's no shortage of exclusive sheetmetal coming out of the Rolls-Royce factory in Goodwood, England. But once in while, something a little more special than the rest comes to be. For the Masterpiece London art-and-design event, Rolls built a bespoke Phantom Drophead coupe meant to capture the essence of the weekend getaway.
New Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet and Estate delayed
Tue, 26 May 2009The new Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet - now put back until Spring 2010 Mercedes has done a pretty good job on updating the E-Class, and its been receiving good comments all round. But Mercedes has lost the momentum a bit with the revelation that the E-Class Coupe is actually based on a C-Class chassis. Not that that alone is reason for complaint, but there was a big hoo-haa around the nomenclature for the E-Class Coupe (should it have been the CLK?) so it was a bit disingenuous of Mercedes to reveal the Coupe’s roots after its reveal.
Maserati GranCabrio Sport arrives
Wed, 27 Jul 2011Maserati GranCabrio Sport arrives in the UK Actually, the Maserati GranCabrio Sport arrived a few months back at the Geneva Motor Show, but it’s now washed up on our shores – just too late to enjoy the miserable summer with the rest of us by the time the first UK customer cars actually arrive in October. The main news, apart from the GranCabrio actually being for sale in the UK, is that the price is perhaps not quite as high as we’d expected. When Maserati revealed the GranCabrio Sport at Geneva we did speculate it would end up being north of £100k.
