McLaren: The dealer network takes shape
Fri, 21 May 2010The McLaren dealer network is starting to take shape Most of what we’ve written about McLaren in the last month or two hasn’t been about the new McLaren – the McLaren MP4 12C – but about McLaren’s venerable hypercar the McLaren F1. Firts we had Ron Dennis telling anyone who’d listen – quite rightly – that the showdown Top Gear staged between the Mac and the Bug had to be re-run repeatedly until the Bug actually won, but Ron being Ron had to go a step further and proclaim the Veyron a ‘Piece of Junk’. But it made his point.
David Brown Automotive promising a new luxury British sports car
Fri, 17 Jan 2014David Brown Automotive promising a new luxury British sports car The name David Brown Automotive conjures up images of the man whose initials still give us the Aston Martin DB9 – former tractor builder David Brown who bought up Aston Martin in 1947 (and subsequently Lagonda and Tickford). But this David Brown Automotive is actually a new company which promises to “…refresh the classic British sports car, for the 21st Century” with a vision for a new luxury take on the classic British Sports Car. David Brown has put together a team lead by Alan Mobberley – who was Chief Designer at Land Rover until 2005 and cropped up recently as the designer for Eterniti Motors – and has commissioned Envisage Group (the firm that bought up what was left of CPP after Vladimir Antonov’s exploits and who are building the glorious Lyonheart E-Type) to bring his dreams to life.
Eterniti Artemis racks up 5 sales at Beijing Motor Show
Mon, 14 May 2012Eterniti Artemis - first sales at Beijing Despite a price tag of £250k, Eterniti says they have taken five orders for the Artemis SUV at the Beijing Motor Show. Eterniti Motors finally revealed their Artemis SUV at the Bejing Motor Show (that’s the Cayenne based Super SUV formerly known as the Eterniti Hemera), and it came with a whopping price tag of £250k. But despite that (or maybe because of it) the cost of the stand at Beijing seems to have paid off for Eterniti with the first five sales for the Super SUV being taken – four for the standard car at £210k plus tax and one for a completely bespoke version.
