Petrol cars twice as likely to fail MOT on emissions

The latest MOT test data shows that 26.2% of all cars tested fail on excess exhaust emissions – and surprisingly petrol cars fail more than twice as often as diesels in this part of the annual roadworthiness test. According to the official Vehicle Operator and Standard Agency (VOSA) figures, which cover all of 2010 and the first nine months of 2011, 9.7% of petrol cars failed to meet MOT emissions standards compared to just 3.9% of diesels. Porsche Cayenne facelift (2014) first official pictures

The five-model range will be in dealerships from 11 October, priced from £49,902 for the base diesel. For speed, the uprated Cayenne Turbo is the obvious flagship, but the Cayenne S E-Hybrid is a bit more three-dimensional.

Hyundai previews upcoming HND-9 concept

Hyundai has given us the first look at its latest concept car ahead of its debut at this month's Seoul motor show. The HND-9 concept, which previews the next-generation Genesis coupe, is the ninth concept from the carmaker's Namyang design center in Korea. Hyundai describes it as "a modern interpretation of a classic premium sports coupe" that displays the latest evolution of its fluidic future design language.
