These smog block-off plates are cut from 300 series Stainless Steel and come with a brushed finish. Also included is an aluminum plug, CNC machined from 6061 Aluminum, and black anodized. Four vinyl cap plugs are also included, one slightly larger in size in case you prefer that (goes on easier). This is everything needed to perform this procedure. Use existing bolts, bolts are not included. Fits 1993 thru 2013 model years. Directions for this and other low cost modifications to improve the operation of these bikes can be found at 4strokesdotcom which I highly recommend visiting. I will email detailed directions with website links and pictures at time of purchase.

Detailed installation instructions for the XR650L will be emailed at time of purchase.

These plates are a perfect fit on the NX650, GB500, and FMX650 models as well. The rest of the kit is intended for the XR650L and may not be usable for other models.

Please email me with any questions you may have.

Land Rover OKs LRX-based small SUV for Range Rover

Wed, 11 Mar 2009

Land Rover will put its striking LRX concept car, first displayed at the 2008 Detroit auto show, into production with the help of a $37.1 million grant from the British government. But in a move suggesting it will be pitched further upmarket than originally intended--against four-wheel-drive rivals such as the Audi Q5, the BMW X5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLK--the LRX will reach showrooms wearing Range Rover badges. "Internal studies have shown that if we deliver the LRX to market, it would be best suited to the Range Rover brand," Land Rover boss Phil Popham said.

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

High-ranking officials at Porsche's Weissach research and development center in Germany have confirmed that engineering work is progressing on a four-cylinder horizontally opposed gasoline engine, details of which were first revealed by Autoweek earlier this year. The new boxer unit--which is earmarked to power a new mid-engine, entry-level model that insiders describe as a spiritual successor to the iconic 550 Spyder--looks set to become an integral part of Porsche's future model plans. Insiders suggest it will also be offered on the third-generation Boxster and the second-generation Cayman later on in their respective model cycles.

Every two weeks, Christopher Chapman makes the rounds at Hyundai's Irvine, Calif., design center to see what his team has in the "corner stack." The "stack" is a pile of index card-sized sketches on the corner of every designer's desk. For Chapman, Hyundai's U.S. design boss, it's a way to encourage his designers to keep ideas flowing.
