Morgan's eco car
Thu, 15 Mar 2007By Ben Barry First Official Pictures 15 March 2007 05:05 Morgan Life Car: the lowdown Morgan, that most traditional of British brands, has announced it will launch a zero-emissions car called the Life Car at next year’s Geneva show. Based on the regular Aero chassis, the Life Car is part DTI-funded and involves partnerships with Oxford University and a company that developed fuel-cell technology for military applications – such as providing medical teams with power during conflicts. The Life Car is predicted to weigh 600kg, have a small fuel cell delivering 33bhp and, erm, no brakes.
Rinspeed XchangE concept previews cabin of self-driving cars
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Ever wondered what you'll be doing in your car once cars become driverless? But unlike us, coachbuilder Rinspeed is actually taking the yet-to-materialize issue seriously, and at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show it will debut its XchangE concept.
Hamilton wins Singapore Grand Prix
Sun, 27 Sep 2009Lewis Hamilton take victory for a resurgent McLaren at Singapore The biggest losers of the day were probably Red Bull, who failed miserably to take advantage of Button’s poor grid position (and that of Barrichello, who started in 10th after a five place penalty for a new gearbox). Vettel managed to damage his car on the kerbs and acquired a drive-through penalty after crossing the white line exiting the pits. Team mate Webber’s brakes gave up on lap 49 and he went home with nothing to show for all his efforts in Singapore.
