Standard 3 1/8" face. Transducers are K factor 4. Battery will need to be replaced. Will work on 14 or 28 volt systems. This item was removed from a very low time (1890 hours TTSN) undamaged Cessna 310 I, N42LK, with no corrosion noted. The aircraft was modified by Riley to Turbostream configuration with Lycoming TSIO/LTSIO 540 N2BD as used on Piper PA31 350 Chieftain and Machen Aerostar. It also had all of the Air America long range fuel mods. The aircraft has been sitting inside a hangar for years and the panel and most avionics were removed for upgrade. Unfortunately the numbers did not work out to put this aircraft back in service so I am parting it out. I will also be parting the 680 hours TTSN engines out and offering the props in OH condition. |

Brazilian students develop soapbox racers for Volkswagen
Wed, 18 Dec 2013Brazilian design students have competed for year-long internships at Volkswagen's Brazilian design studio by designing – and racing – soapbox cars. Established 15 years ago by Volkswagen South America design director Luiz Veiga, the Volkswagen Design Talent Contest refreshed its format for 2013 by challenging students to develop a prototype for a gravity-powered soapbox racer instead of asking for sketch and render-based proposals. According to Veiga, Volkswagen was looking for someone "capable of working away from the desk and able to create design solutions, assess and build them".
2012 Volvo S60 & XC60 R-Design get more oomph
Thu, 21 Apr 2011Volvo V60 R-Design - finally, more get up and go We’re quite partial to the Volvo S60 (actually, we’re even more partial to the Volvo V60) and we like how Volvo’s R-Design pack makes a real impact without making the car look like a boy racer’s wet dream. What’s also nice – in this age of parsimony – is that even if you opt for a lowly diesel version you can still have a Volvo that looks like it gets there in a hurry, even if it doesn’t. But our preference is always for a bit more power, especially if all the visual cues make you smile in anticipation, so we have been know to bemoan the lack of any sort of power boost – even as an add-on option – on Volvo’s R-Design cars.
Lotus Evora S revealed UPDATE: Evora S uses a supercharger
Fri, 27 Aug 2010The Lotus Evora S gets unveiled ahead of Paris Update: We’ve had emails and Tweets suggesting that the Evora S may not use a Supercharger to gain its extra horses. TBH, the press release makes no mention of a S/C and the power increase is less than we’d expected. So we checked with Lotus and we can confirm that the Evora S does have a supercharger.
