Intermot-IVM Design Award Competition 2004

A perception that young people are less and less attracted to motorbikes provides the theme for the first Intermot-IVM Design Award competition. The Motorcycle Industry Association of Germany (IVM e.V.) and the Trade Fair Munich/Intermot have decided to intensively take care of their young clients with several activities this year. As young people are no longer inspired by superb technology alone, but are impressed more and more visually, it is only logical to place a greater emphasis on the design of the bike in winning over young customers.

The BMW 5-series GT has been a sales success for the German automaker, even though the AutoWeek staff is sharply divided over its looks. There's a redesigned 3-series coming for 2012, and a GT version is joining in the lineup. Saab offers free iPad with pre-order of the 9-4X

Beginning in mid-January, the first 500 people to place an order for the Saab 9-4X can also receive an Apple iPad--they just have to put down $500 on top of their dealer's pre-order deposit. The iPad will be delivered two to three weeks after the order is placed, and participants will receive a $500 credit toward the 9-4X upon the vehicle's delivery. And in case a person cancels his or her order, he or she can keep the iPad.
