New Mercedes GL (2013): Price from £59,465 to £91,680

Mercedes has announced that the new 2013 GL will cost from £59,456 for the GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport to £91,680 for the GL 63 AMG. The Mercedes GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport will cost from £59,465 and gets a chunk more kit than the outgoing GL. That includes Intelligent Light System, bi-xenons, LED daytime lights, AMG body styling, 21″ AMG alloys, Privacy, electric glass roof, AirMATIC, Parktronic with Park Assist, COMAND and DAB radio.

Rolls Royce has created a special edition of the Phantom Coupe – the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe Aviator Edition – to debut at Pebble Beach. Even car makers at the very top end produce limited edition models to garner extra sales, and Rolls Royce is no different. Ex-Morgan Chief Designer forms Matthew Humphries Design

The former chief designer at Morgan, has formed his own design consultancy, Matthew Humphries Design, in a bid to branch out into the worlds of bespoke cars and product design. Humphries will continue his relationship with Morgan in a partnership that will see the newly formed company help to develop future models for the independent British sports car manufacturer. The 28-year-old Coventry University graduate believes he can begin moving into the growing market for integrating automotive design elements into product design – such as furniture – and particularly British-themed products.
