Sat, 06 Dec 2008As car manufacturers start to look with fresh eyes at smaller, cheaper cars, reports from Germany confirm that Mercedes is close to committing to the SLA, a small Roadster to be based on the next generation A-Class platform. But at that time Mercedes didn’t have a suitable platform on which to base the car, and the project was shelved.

Shorn of 100kg, the 1330kg Superleggera – Italian for ‘lightweight’ and pronounced ‘supahlejerah’ – has pulled the rug from under Ferrari, which will only unveil its F430 Challenge Stradale early next year.
It's 510 Again!
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Any sports or sporty car driver worth their gear oil will remember the mighty Datsun 510 - the front-engine, rear-drive coupe, sedan and wagon that gave racers on a budget something that was just as fun to pilot as BMWs and Alfas of the day. From 1968 to 1973 you could have as much fun as any of those guys with fancy European rides. While a little more boxy than its competitors, the 510 was nonetheless nimble and extraordinarily fun to drive.
